After a recent set of personal events and individual observations, I resolve that some people could use a review on what it means to love.
Due to past or current hurt and lack of present or future hope many of God’s beautiful creation are just plain mean and ugly to their brothers and sisters. If you share in my sentiments, you may understand why this brings me great sadness.
As a lover and one whose goal is to radiate God’s sunshine, I seem to bump heads with the ideas of those who are so regimented in rule-following without concern for how individuals involved may be negatively impacted or bound by decisions made.
Thinking on this notion, I impress upon the world today to think. Before you take any action step that might impact another, ask yourself are you operating out of place of love. Remember in Christ, we are freed from the law, so never allow your focus to shift so much towards trying to follow all the rules. Keep in mind that there are so many in place in this world that you are bound to offend one, while trying to keep the other.
On that note, “Love is patient, love is kind…” and more as grounded in 1 Corinthians 13. So go ahead be in love and try on some love today.
